01 / BEGIN

Nurture a seed.

Separate the grow module from the ash urn and prepare the coco peat until moist and crumbly. Plant the supplied seed, a seed of your choice, or a seedling, following the guide.

02 / CARE

Give it time to grow.

Keep the coco peat moist as your plant establishes. The guide recommends a plant approximately 10 cm tall with at least four leaves before burial.

03 / REMEMBER

Plant a living tribute.

Remove the temporary cork lid and rejoin the grow module to the ash urn. Bury the complete urn, leaving the seedling above ground, and water well. Follow the full guide for each step.

What is a Bio Urn?

It is a biodegradable cremation urn with a grow pod and kit to help you begin growing a tree as a memorial to your loved one.

Does the tree begin growing in the ground?

No. Begin with a seed or seedling in the separate grow module. Once established, the module rejoins the ash urn and the complete unit is buried with the seedling above ground. See the planting guide.

Can we choose the tree?

The concept allows for a seed of your choice. Choose a tree suited to the intended location and follow the germination and care guidance for that species alongside the kit instructions.

How do we order a Bio Urn?
